Mimico and New Toronto Market Update September 2021
The latest sold numbers are in! Here is your Mimico and New Toronto Market Update for September 2021. I’ve compiled the sold data for all freehold home types that sold in the last 6 months from March 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021.
It is very interesting to note how the New Toronto and Mimico neighbourhoods are performing very similarly with the average days on market of 12-13 days and the median sales price at $1,200,000 and $1,215,000 respectively.
Both Mimico and New Toronto continue to experience very low inventory. As of today’s date there are only 7 homes for sale in each neighbourhood.
With the fall market around the corner and the beginning of a new school year I do anticipate there will be more inventory coming onto the market in the next few weeks. If that is the case, it will be interesting to see if the median house price will continue to trend up or if it will stay where it is.
With such low inventory it is still very much a Seller’s market and if you are thinking about selling your home in New Toronto or Mimico now is the time to take advantage of those double digit increases we have seen all year.
